Dan L. Wugman, Esq.
Dan Wugman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in 1996 and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 1999. He began his career in Workers’ Compensation in 2002, spending seven years at a highly regarded insurance defense firm. There, he gained invaluable experience in defending a wide range of Workers’ Compensation claims. Today, Dan leverages his deep understanding of insurance company strategies to advocate effectively for injured workers across New York State.
A proud 1993 graduate of Spring Valley High School, Dan grew up in Rockland County and remains connected to the community despite living outside the area. He is an active member of the Rockland County Bar Association and contributes to local organizations and charities, reflecting his dedication to giving back.

Michael H. Wugman, Esq.
Michael Wugman earned his undergraduate degree from Pace University in 2002 and his Juris Doctor from Pace University Law School in 2005. He began his legal career specializing in criminal and civil litigation, with a particular focus on the eDiscovery process. Over the course of eight years, Michael worked at prominent New York City law firms, serving as associate counsel in several high-profile cases. With over a decade of experience, Michael has dedicated his practice exclusively to Workers’ Compensation and Social Security law, leveraging his extensive knowledge and expertise to consistently surpass clients’ needs and expectations.
A lifelong resident of Rockland County, Michael grew up in Spring Valley and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1999. He is an engaged member of the Rockland County Bar Association and actively participates in numerous community endeavors.

Brenda Lemus
Paralegal
Brenda is bilingual and takes pride in being the main point of contact for all of our Spanish-speaking clients. In addition to being trained as a Workers’ Compensation paralegal for Wugman & Wugman, P.C. , she has obtained a certification in medical interpretation that has enhanced her ability to communicate effectively and make clients feel comfortable and understood. She feels it is important not only for the clients to stay informed but have a sufficient understanding of their case status. Known for her professionalism and dedication, Brenda always goes the extra mile to support clients and help them in any way she can. Her genuine passion for helping others makes her an invaluable part of the team.
Having been raised in Rockland County, Brenda graduated from Nyack High School in 2017 and values the connections she has maintained in her community. Outside of work, she loves traveling to new places, shopping, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Gabriela Deras
Paralegal
Gabriela graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice with a concentration in public administration in 2026. She began her journey with Wugman & Wugman in February of 2026 and is dedicated to learning all there is to know regarding workers compensation. With the extensive experience her peers have, she is committed to upholding the firm’s principles and values. Her empathy and patience make you feel seen and heard.
As a lifelong resident of Rockland County, Gaby graduated from Ramapo High School in 2015. Currently living in Orange County, but she still dedicates her time to Rockland being that her family and friends still live here and love to be involved within her community. Outside of work, she likes to write, paint & spend time with her loved ones.
